So, You've Got Questions...
We all do. Let's see if we can answer yours.
What are your hours of operation?
The Inn is open 7 days a week, 11 months of the year (I take a vacation in March)
Are reservations required and when can I drop my dog off?
Yes, reservations are required and we maintain a 6 dog maximum occupancy. You can check your dog in anytime between 9a-5p daily. There may be up to a $15 early/late check in fee.
Where is the Good Dog Inn located?
The physical address is 28313 Johnson Road, Georgetown, Delaware 19947. As a point of reference, The Inn is just a few miles and minutes from popular local beaches, restaurants and other area attractions. This means your dog can easily enjoy the benefits of cage less dog boarding the next time you're in Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey, etc.
What do I need to bring?
Just your dog and their food. I provide everything else. Of course, if your dog has a favorite blanket or toy, you're welcome to bring it, just know I can not guarantee its safe return.
Do I need to provide vet and shot/vaccines documentation?
Absolutely. I make sure each and every guest is up to date. This includes Kennel Cough. I've never had it here and don't want it.
What about flea and tick treatment?
Each dog must also be current with flea and tick preventative. I will administer Capstar at your expense if there is any sign of fleas.
What about emergencies?
Should the unthinkable happen and I need to take your dog to the vet, I will make every effort to go to the owner's regular vet. However, should that office be closed or out of the area, I reserve the right to take the dog to Savannah Animal Hospital. Also, please understand that i will take the responsibility for my own actions but occasionally, acts of God or Dog happen which are out of my control. I make every effort to keep all dogs safe and healthy.
What if my dog doesn't play well with others?
Should a dog prove incompatible with other dogs, it may become necessary to have a discussion about alternative dog boarding, i.e. a more traditional kennel experience. This will only be a last resort. Also, there are certain exclusions at The Inn. These exclusions are for the safety of the guests and the peace of mind of their owners and does not reflect a personal opinion of the Innkeeper.
